Wine Storage

  • Step 1: Preparation & Packaging

The first step of starting a Vault collection is to prepare your collection by categorically organizing and packaging your collection into sturdy boxes.  We can provide you with sturdy boxes or even help you organize and package your collection for you.  We recommend organizing cases into categories such as varietal, region, or drinking window.

  • Step 2: Pick Up or Drop Off

The second step is making an appointment to drop off the collection off to our facility, or alternatively, arrangements can be made for our team to pick up the collection from you.  Our facility has a loading bay for ease of access.

  • Step 3: Inventory and Website Upload

At this point, our team begins to take care of your wine for you.  All the information of every bottle (varietal, region, appellation, etc) is recorded and uploaded onto an online database.  Every case is given a unique case number.  Once this has been completed, you will receive login credentials enabling you with remote access to your holdings on our website.  You may also request an appraisal of your collection as an option, which will attach current market values to every bottle in your collection.

  • Step 4: Storage

Your holdings are given a unique private space inside the Vault.  All bottles will rest on their side, climate and humidity-controlled controlled, and lay dormant until ready for retrieval.

  • Step 5: Withdrawal

Once your wine enters its optimal drinking window, it is time to retrieve them for enjoyment.  Simply request the bottles to be withdrawn through our website and we will coordinate an appointment with you to retrieve them once ready.  We kindly ask for 24 hours’ notice for any withdrawal.  Once picked up, the bottles are removed from your collection.

  • Climate Control

The Wine Vault is the ideal cellaring environment in which to store and mature your wine. Our facilities are climate-controlled by 6 advanced water-cooled commercial grade refrigeration units to a constant 14 degrees Celsius, maintained to 60-70% relative humidity, and free of all natural light and vibration – the ideal wine storage environment.

  • Security

Every wine investment we maintain for you is carefully protected by four levels of security, with two separate alarm systems protecting the building and the cellar. Both are monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Two different types of digital surveillance monitor the exterior and interior of the Vault at all times. Access to the Vault is by private supervised visits only; all visits require an appointment.

  • Inventory Management

When you place your wine in our care, each individual bottle’s information is uploaded onto a private online inventory system, accessible and manageable remotely from anywhere in the world. Continuous inventory audits by bottle and case ensure accurate management.  Our database system can maintain a full catalogue of your wine holdings. We can track your preferred cellaring schedule and advise you when your wines are ready to drink or be sold. This system also allows you to view your collection and add new fields such as tasting notes, maturity dates, and values for each bottle.

  • Pick Up & Delivery

The Wine Vault can arrange to pick up your wine collections from your home. You may collect your wine at any appointed time to suit you during warehouse opening hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 6pm, or we can arrange for it to be delivered directly to you. Appointments are necessary for delivery or collection for security reasons.
